Warmer weather has us dreaming of nights on the patio and dinners al fresco with all our favourite foods. With the introduction of commercial air fryers, restaurants can serve up meals with half the fat and absolutely no oil. From easy appetizers to delicious mains, healthy veggie options and even desserts, air fryers can create plenty of restaurant favourites without the added oil used in conventional frying.
If you find yourself reaching for a cooking oil, choose one that contains the healthiest fats—monounsaturated and polyunsaturated—and try to steer clear of those that are processed and refined.

Located in Toronto’s historic Distillery District, Studio Munge has transformed the historic space into a homage to Mexican catinas. With a timeline of eight months to complete construction and design, El Catrin opened its doors in June 2013; celebrating its sixth successful year this summer.
Located in Toronto’s historic Distillery District and established in June 2014, Cluny’s has an authentic bistro style with an industrial edge. Serving french inspired dishes with a large selection of wines, you can do no wrong when choosing Cluny’s to fulfill your cravings.
From their first store in 2015 in Toronto to global expansion within the next four, Sweet Jesus has blown up.
These, to name a few, are the reasons why the TFI team enjoyed this year’s show at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. After the conclusion of the three-day event, it can easily be said that this show was a success! Throughout the event, our team met and spoke with a multitude of exhibitors, existing and potential customers, some who traveled quite the distance to experience this year’s show.
Whether it’s refrigerators, ovens (microwave or convection), roller grills or display cases, there is a direct correlation between the investment you make in foodservice equipment and the return you hope to achieve.
Consider this: approximately 90%1 of the 36+ million Canadians2 today eat ice cream. Of those, 70%3 eat soft serve. That comes to a whopping 22+ million soft serve consumers in Canada. You might want to consider tapping into that market to increase traffic through your door and boost profits.
